Dr. Wang has been serving as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Communications and as guest editors for seven journal special issues, four of which are in the area of multimedia networking, specializing in SND/NFV, streaming system, P2P streaming, and scalability. She has served as TPC members for 25 conferences (including prominent conferences: ICNP, IWQoS, ICME, LCN, and ICC), and have served in various chairing roles for 9 conferences (including two area co-chairs, two program co-chairs, and one general co-chair).
University of Calgary
Dr. Wang has been the Assistant Head (Teaching Support) since April 2017. She chaired the Outreach Committee from September 2016 to June 2017. Prior to these commitment, she had been the High School Liaison since November 2008. Major achievements since then include growing the participation of the annual province-wide Iverson exam, creating the High School Speakers’ Bureau, and coordinating the annual Computer Science Education Week celebration. She also serves in various committees at the department level and at the university level.
Dr. Wang has been the Regional Ambassador for Technovation Challenge (Calgary region) since 2014. She is grown the program in the Calgary region across different school boards. She also represented the Department of Computer Science for the University of Calgary in the executive committee of the ACM Computer Science Teachers Association (Alberta Chapter) and the outreach committee of the Canadian Association of Computer Science / Association d’Informatique Canadienne.
